Synopsis

Paul brings a wealth of experience as a Chartered Accountant and highly experienced auditor to The Orange Partnership. With previous roles as Head of Internal Audit & Risk Management at Royal Mail and Head of Assurance at Bupa (Care Services), he has a solid foundation in audit and risk management.

During his eight years at The Orange Partnership, Paul has led numerous cost assurance reviews for clients operating under NEC Contracts and similar cost reimbursable or target cost arrangements in the aviation, water, and civil nuclear sectors. Leveraging his sector knowledge and tenacity, Paul has expanded the firm’s presence in the Government and public services sector, leading highly complex audits in this domain.

Paul has an ability to conduct audit work, and draw valid conclusions, even when audit rights and the audit trail are lacking.  He is adaptable in his approach and not deterred by the circumstances and will provide a considered opinion based on quality audit work in all circumstances.  Even when in potentially contentious situations, he navigates with diplomacy and professionalism, ensuring that relationships remain intact and productive for all parties involved.

Paul has contributed to the firm’s thought leadership by publishing insightful papers on the potential for mischarging in outsourced Facilities Management contracts. These publications have garnered significant attention and dissemination.
